Our Story
A Rich Tradition of Southern BBQ
Camp 31 BBQ's journey began in 1985, when Larry Murphy transformed a small sawmill general store outside Brewton, Alabama, into a BBQ haven. What started as a local favorite soon gained national recognition. In 1986, with a little help from the Brewton Police Department, we entered our first BBQ cook-off in Pensacola, Florida. We took home three first-place trophies, igniting a passion for competition and BBQ excellence that continues to this day.
Since then, we've been on the road, competing and showcasing our skills across the US and Canada. Our commitment to quality has earned us countless awards and a reputation as one of the top BBQ teams in North America. But our heart and soul remain rooted in Brewton, where we continue to serve our community with the same love and care that started it all.
